Data

Your email address, the page you subscribed from (home page or Play page), the version of the consent text and the dates of subscription, confirmation and unsubscription. No name or other information is asked for.

Purpose

Sending you news about Factorinc, mainly when a new version is released.

Legal basis

Your consent (article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), confirmed by clicking the link of the confirmation email (double opt-in). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link of every email.

Retention

An address that is not confirmed is deleted after 30 days. A confirmed address is kept until you unsubscribe; it is then only kept marked as unsubscribed, so that no email is sent to it again, and is erased on request.

To protect the form against automated subscriptions, your browser solves a small computation (ALTCHA proof of work, run on our own server, without any third party and without cookies), and the number of attempts per IP address and per email address is limited. These counters are only kept in memory, for at most 24 hours. The web servers keep access logs (IP address, date, requested page, browser) for at most 14 days, to keep the service secure. Email addresses never appear in logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in securing the service.

This website measures its audience with Umami, hosted on our own server. It sets no cookie and stores no personal data: visits are counted without identifying you, IP addresses are not stored, and the data is never combined with other data or shared. It records the pages viewed, the referring site, the country, the type of device and a few events (for example, pressing Play or subscribing). Statistics are kept for at most 25 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring the audience of the website, within the limits that exempt this measurement from consent.

The browser version of the game stores your saves in your browser only (IndexedDB and local storage). They are never sent to a server.

The theme you choose, on this website or in the game, is kept in your browser's local storage, for both of them.

This website sets no cookie.
